Dear Parents / Carers,
It's been another very busy week in school this week with trips, sporting events and a sleepover.
On Thursday Year 2 Rosen enjoyed their trip to the Yorkshire Air Museum where they found out more about the history of flight to add to what they had learned school. They had a fantastic day and the staff at the museum were very impressed with their knowledge and how they represented Kirk Fenton. Well done Rosen Class!
Also on Thursday, Year 3 and 4 football teams were in action at the Trust football competition. They worked well as a team and we are very proud of their perseverance and respect. Well done to the children involved.
Thursday night saw Year 5 sleeping over in the hall. They had a great time and enjoyed a campfire and a film. Thank you to all the staff that made this possible. I expect Year 5 will sleep well over the weekend!
On Friday, the Year 5 and 6 football teams were in action at the Trust competition. They represented the school well and were great sportsmen and women. Well done to those children.
Finally, I have had the pleasure to attend the first Trust-wide Student Leadership conference with our Head Pupils, Lillie and Niamh, today. The focus of the conference was about how the Trust can support pupil wellbeing and it was great to see pupils from all 11 schools discussing some of the issues and coming up with ideas. Well done Niamh and Lillie!
Have a lovely weekend,
Karen Williams

Staff Thank You's
If anyone would like to say thank you to or has any positive comments for a member of staff then please complete and submit the form below.
A short update from us this week. Firstly, thank you to everyone who had a clear out and dropped bags at the school on Wednesday. That is our last fundraiser of the year done. We're just tallying up our totals and will share next week - we have had a busy year!
Exciting news though, we have the date for our first event of next term. Save the date: Friday 22nd September, Gin Tasting with Hooting Owl Gin - which we're hoping will be in the village hall. Tickets will be on sale from next week - and its open to anyone to attend, so get your friends lined up (or get the babysitter sorted), and we'll see you then.
