Daylight Savings Time Is This Weekend!
Dear La Ballona Families,
We are thrilled to present ARISTOCATS KIDS to you! Each cast member has committed to rehearsals every Tuesday and Thursday for the last three months. Witnessing the joy on the students' faces has been truly inspiring and heartwarming. While it's been nerve-wracking for them to perform on stage, focusing on choreography and memorizing lines, they have approached it all with incredible passion. Numerous students contributed in various behind-the-scenes roles by crafting posters, designing tickets, and assembling the program. They constructed sets, prepared props, designed costumes, and developed effective advertisements. We invite you to experience the extraordinary talent, artistry, and determination of our cast.
The support from everyone involved in this journey has been invaluable. We could not have brought this musical to life without the dedication, commitment, and adaptability of our community. Musical Directors, La Ballona's PTA, staff, parent volunteers, and many others have played a crucial role in making this weekend's show, one to see!

1. Around School!
Arrival Before School Starts
La Ballona opens at 8:00-8:35am for Breakfast and for any student who needs to arrive early due to family circumstances. Please enter through the front of the school. As communicated at the beginning of the school year, if students arrive early, we asked them to bring a book or something to color or draw in.
Supervision is limited before school starts and we are beginning to experience an increase in behaviors before school begins. In order to have a successful start to our school day, we must implement certain expectations and safety procedures that will ensure every student on campus has a positive experience throughout the day and ensure the safety of all students. If students are unable to maintain these La Ballona Expectations, they may be excluded from participation in arriving to school before 8:30am. Will we use the warning system (3 warnings, you’re out) for a period of time.
If your child is not having breakfast, please enter through Gate 1 at 8:15 am. They will have the choice to walk the track or sit on the green tables or soccer field to read or draw.
