Welcome to our newest mighty mustangs!

On August 26th at 9:00AM, kindergarten students and their parents are invited to join us for a special orientation at Gayman Elementary School.

Our kindergarten students will have the opportunity to ride a school bus and complete a building-wide scavenger hunt. While parents, will be able to meet Ms. Cell and learn about the school day.

School will begin before Labor Day on Monday, August 30th.

We will remain an "A" or early school, and our hours are 8:35AM to 3:15PM.

The morning kindergarten session hours are 8:35AM - 11:10AM. The afternoon kindergarten session will run from 12:40PM - 3:15PM.

Similar to last year, all school breakfasts and lunches are available to families at no charge.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service extended the program that will provide free meals for all students, regardless of income, for the 2021-22 school year. All menus are available to be viewed online up to 2 weeks in advance by visiting Gayman Elementary | Central Bucks School District (nutrislice.com)

Students are entitled to one reimbursable breakfast and one lunch per day. Any second entrée will be charged to the students’ lunch account. We encourage all families to put money on their students account through MySchoolBucks.com as there will be no cash transactions this year in an effort to serve the students as safely and swiftly as possible.

The Transportation tab in your Parent Portal Account will list your child(ren)'s bus number, as well as pick up/drop off times.

Your child may ride only the bus to which he/she has been assigned unless an Alternate Bus Stop Request has been approved. The Central Bucks Transportation Department may approve requests for childcare or shared custody situations. A form must be submitted every year: Alternate Bus Stop Request.

All students who walk to and from school will enter and exit via the back playground doors. Please meet your child on the sidewalk on Burnt House Hill Road.

Drop Off: Students who are car riders should enter the parking lot via the Burnt House Hill Road entrance. Please stay to the right and park your car along the sidewalk, in front of the Gayman Library entrance. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will enter through the 3rd grade door, while 4th through 6th grade students will enter through the library door. Parents will remain in their cars. Gayman staff members will be available to assist children.

Pick Up: Each family will receive a "pick up placard" on the first day of school that can be displayed in your car window. Write your child's last name and grade level(s) on the placard. A staff member will call your child's name to exit the building. Please be patient during the first week of school, as this may take our students a little longer to remember this routine.

For our students' safety, please drive slowly and remain in a single lane in front of the school building. Do not pass other cars. Thank you!

Just a friendly reminder, all students will be receiving a 1:1 device this school year. If you have not done so already, please visit MyPaymentsPlus to pay the 2021-22 device fee. All in-person students will receive devices during the first week of school. All online students will be able to pick up devices and materials at Gayman on Thursday, August 26th. Just stop by the main office!

When you log into My Payments Plus to pay for your child's $10 Central Bucks School District 1:1 Laptop Agreement fee, you will be see these additional items listed:

Central School District 1:1 Replacement Charger Gayman $35

Central School District 1:1 Replacement Laptop Pen Gayman $37

You do not have to pay for these items. They are listed under your child's name in the event that a pen or charger is lost during the course of the school year and a replacement needs to be purchased. For anyone who mistakenly paid for one or both of these items, please contact Diane Kelleher in the Gayman Main Office.

It is time to update your child(ren)’s “Student Emergency & Information Form.” All returning CBSD families are required to complete this update on/before September 30th.

The online form will ask you to confirm and/or update the following:

· Demographic Information

· Emergency Contacts

· Health Information, including permission for emergency care and analgesic administration

· Media Release Preferences

Visit the CBSD Infinite Campus parent portal at www.cbsd.org/parentportal and don’t forget to hit submit at the end. You will receive an email verifying that your submission was received.

The state of Pennsylvania requires students in certain grades to have health exams.

• Kindergarten and New students: Dental and Physical Exams
• Grades 3 and 7: Dental Exam
• Grades 6 and 11: Physical Exam

The dental and physical forms can be found HERE. The exams must be completed after 9/1/2020. The completed health forms are due to Mrs. Sara Hedges, our school nurse, no later than October 15, 2021. You can upload your completed exam forms to your child's Parent Portal account. Please keep a copy of the health forms for your records.
