Happy Monday Twin Oaks Community.

We had another wonderful week with our Coyotes last week. Although it was a "short week" with Labor Day Monday at home, our students worked hard each day they attended. We had an amazing turn out for our Welcome Back Bash on Friday. A BIG THANK YOU to our PTO and volunteers who worked hard to make it a great success.

We have noticed many students very HUNGRY in the mornings before their lunch or recess break. Please make sure students are having breakfast at home or here at school. Please remember that breakfast is free for all students this school year. There are always good options for our students.

Next Friday, September 15, there will be some Mission Hills students from Cheer and Football here to welcome our Coyotes at arrival from 8:15-8:45. It will make for a welcoming morning for our students!

Family Service Night is on Wednesday, September 12th from 5-6:30pm. This FREE event is a special night to work as a family to complete 5 Acts of Kindness. No snackbar or food trucks at this event. Please come help us spread kindness in our community.

Please consider giving pencils, erasers or other school related items instead of sugary treats. There are strict guidelines for school to not offer sugary snacks to students. You may also consider donating books for the classroom library.

We will be holding interviews for our Art Instructor on Tuesday, September 5th. We are hopeful that we will be able to start art lessons soon after. We will send an update soon! The Affordable Connectivity Program helps to connect families and households struggling to afford internet service. This new benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Joli Ann Leichtag Elementary, La Mirada Academy, Paloma Elementary School, San Marcos Elementary & Twin Oaks Elementary students all have the opportunity to ride the bus to school!
