Principal's Pen
As we enter our last few days before break, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you, Ridgeway families, for a fantastic first semester! So much learning, growth and memories made throughout the last 5 months. Students excel when there is a strong partnership between school and home, and we so appreciate the support you show your kiddos as well as the staff and school as a whole. We hope you have an amazing break and a happy holiday season. See you in January!
Specialist News
From Coach Mason
Hello Ridgeway Families,
I hope all is well with you. I enjoy seeing the students having fun and learning new skills in class.
Please remember to have your students wear tennis shoes on their PE day so they can participate in activities.
Learning objectives in December:
We will start striking and volleying, using our hands to strike a ball and using implements to hit a ball. Striking includes mini golf, paddle games, volleyball skills, and baseball and softball skills.
Learning objectives in January:
We will focus on dribbling with our hands. The students will learn different skills while doing basketball, handball, and floorball. These are dribbling focuses. We will use individual drills, group drills, and small-sided games.
I hope you all have a great winter break!
Sincerely,
Coach Mason
