The Veterans Day Assembly will take place on November 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Westwood High School gymnasium. The public is welcome.

Last week was the first meeting of the WHS Chess Club. Students meet in Mrs. Hamel's class at lunch and enjoy a leisurely game of chess! This is just another example of the great things that are happening at WHS!

Westwood High School will hold parent-teacher conferences on November 9th from 12:30-4:30 p.m. and 5:30-8:00 p.m.

New to Westwood High School has our very own newspaper stand, courtesy of The Mining Journal. There is some wear and tear, but the students cleaned it up nicely and the students in the welding shop welded the Patriot logo on the front.

It is crazy to think that many of our students have never seen an actual newspaper stand and did not know this is how people used to get their news. There was life before cell phones!!
