The swim team wraps up its season this week with its annual spaghetti dinner poolside Friday and the division championship meet Saturday at Flower Hill Pool. After that, the pool is going to seem quiet in the afternoons! (That's Tabitha Dorr, right, crushing it in the breaststroke last week.)

Saturday, July 30th – Young Adult Night for swim team alumni. We're still working out details on time and cost, but I hear everyone's going to be asked to bring something for a traditional team spaghetti dinner on the deck AND that there's going to be friendly competition in the lap lanes. Sundays, July 24th and July 31st – More Pizza Nights at the Pool during rafting, 5-7 p.m. The pizza will be from Ben Yehuda's at $3 per slice; $5 for two slices; $20 for a whole pie. Soda and ice cream treats will be available from the Snack Bar. Preorder in the front office by the Fridays before. We take cash or credit on deck.
Sunday, July 31st – Teen Night (7th- through 12th-grade) – 7-10 p.m . Bring a friend! The pool closes to non-partygoers at 8:45 p.m. Price: $5.00 for members; $7.00 for non-members. Open to incoming 6th-8th graders. Wanted: 1 or 2 middle-schoolers and at least 1 or 2 middle school parents to help plan this event. Contact Sherri Spritzer at Sherri.spritzer@verizon.net. NOTE: We need to have at least 15 people to register in order to hold this event.
Something new
Your pool board will be sponsoring a Senior Social on Saturday, August 6th, 5-7 p.m., as a tribute to all our long-time members. We still have some members who joined when the pool was young 50 years ago! There will be appetizers, and music brought to guests by our very own DJ, pool president Eugene Cotilli. Note: We need a minimum of 10 registrants for this event to be a go. We also need more helping hands. To RSVP or volunteer to help, please contact Sherri Spritzer at sherri.spritzer@verizon.net.
