Greetings, Warrior Families!
It is hard to believe October is winding down. This month was very busy, and I am certain everyone is ready for a little downtime. Our first major break is only four weeks away, and I want to encourage our students and teachers to keep working hard until we release for the holiday.
A request that I need to pass along to everyone. When picking up students after school, please do not pull into Handicap Accessible parking spots to wait for you child unless you are properly credentialed to be there. I understand that some may feel it is not convenient to have to wait in the pickup line, but it is even more inconvenient for the members of our community who are in need of access to those spots. With after school events occurring daily, it is imperative that we keep those parking spots for those in need. I appreciate your support in this matter.
Lastly, Red Ribbon week is here! There are several ways that students will recognize this week with information and interaction. See Counselor's Corner for Dress-up days!
Never hesitate to reach out to administration with anything you may need. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
With Warrior Pride!

COLLEGE BOARD
PSAT 8/9
PSAT 8/9
All 9th grade students will take the PSAT 8/9 test on 11/3/22 (students with an accommodation of MP3 Pre-recorded audio will take a two-day version and complete the test on 11/4). We will not be able to provide calculators so students are encouraged to bring their own. The approved calculator list can be found at https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/psat-8-9/taking-the-test/what-to-bring-leave/calculator-policy. The test can also be completed without a calculator.
Students with 504, special education or LPAC accommodations that are compatible with College Board tests, will automatically receive those accommodations for PSAT 8/9. If your student will receive time and one-half (extra time) or MP3 Pre-recorded audio (oral administration), they will not complete testing on 11/3 until after the cafeteria has closed. I will send an email to these families next week that will give you an opportunity to order a sack lunch that will be delivered to the testing room. Students will be able to eat during an embedded break or after testing is completed. If you do not order a sack lunch, please have your child bring a lunch.
If you have any questions, please email our testing coordinator at amy.bachmeyer@comalisd.org.
