Rockin' Eagle Updates
February 2024
Admin Corner
We are well into the new year! Our students have completed their winter assessments and are showing growth in reading and math. We continue to provide whole and small-group instruction for all our students to meet their grade-level standards. When we think about Culturally Relevant Teaching, partnering with families is a key element of that. Your students' linguistic and cultural background is essential to us. We want them to know they are seen and heard at SPMA. You are always welcome to visit your students' classroom - nothing we do at school should be a mystery to families.
Do you read at home with your students?
Important Updates
Parent Pick Up
- Enter the parking lot from the east at the Abell Street entrance.
- Stay in line with the other cars, we move through the line as quickly as possible.
- Stay to the right when near the building - stay in one line and leave space to the left for cars to be able to leave.
- Pull as far forward as you can, especially if cars leave before you - to allow all cars to get near the sidewalk as quickly as possible.
- If you have a sign for your student(s) have that in a visible spot, if you do not then share student name(s) with staff on the sidewalk.
I Love to Read Month!
February has many important topics; Black History Month, Kindness Month, Valentine's Day and most important for the Library is I Love to Read Month!
New books and books about Love are on display in the library. Mr. Matthew encourages you to continue to read and turn in your book reports!
