Learning is so much fun!! After a week of learning about recycling, Mrs. Cassie’s Pre-K class reused items to create a robot, cat, dinosaur, and rocket ship!

Ms. Rhonda’s PreK class just finished a study of the environment and how to take care of it. They discussed ways of recycling , and composting…and finished their study by learning how worms use compost materials to help make make plants, trees, and flowers grow.
The worm compost was provided by Ms. Johnson’s 4th grade class.

Last month, Ms. Susan and Ms. Rhonda’s classes visited Elizabethton Fire station to continue learning about fire prevention and safety during Fire Prevention Month. They then visited the park and had a picnic lunch. It was a fun day in Pre-K.

West Side Elementary
Book Fair
The Scholastic Bookfair will be here soon, the week after Thanksgiving!
Don’t forget to set up your child’s ewallet. Have one from last year? Make sure to sign in with the same login and set it to be used for the bookfair. Invite friends and family to add funds to your child’s ewallet.
I will be sharing teacher ewallets this week so you can add funds for the teacher to shop their wishlist!
This is an excellent way for kids to learn to manage money and feel like independent shoppers without the stress of keeping up with cash all week!
Watch the video below for more information and go to our school’s bookfair homepage for instructions and set up. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/westsideelementaryschool39
