Bordeaux Elementary School

Dear Bordeaux Families:

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. I spent too much time glancing at the weather app, watching the little snowflake appear, disappear, and jump days. You’d think living in Washington for 40+ years would teach me that this could change up until the morning of.

Basketball permission slips went home last week and will be accepted until January 15th. There is limited capacity and slots will be filled on a first come first served basis. Basketball will begin January 22nd.

The HiCap referral window closes on January 19th. If you are interested in referring your student for Highly Capable Testing, the referral packet can be found on Shelton School District’s website.

Big Smiles Dentistry will be coming to Bordeaux on February 5th. They are offering dental care for qualifying students. Big Smiles Dentistry offers teeth cleaning, fluoride treatments, sealants and fillings for cavities depending on the severity. A permission slip will be sent home on Monday and is due back no later than January 16th. There is a number on the permission slip for any questions regarding payment or services. This is not a required service, but one that is available for those students who are in need.

This Friday, January 12th, students will be released at 12:30 for a teacher inservice day.
