Football Preps for Playoffs
Hewitt-Trussville Football finished the regular season with a 7-3 overall record and a 5-2 record in the region. The Huskies are the #2 seed from 7A Region 3 and will host a playoff game for the first time in six years.
HT will host Bob Jones on Friday November 10 in the first round of the 7A playoffs. Playoff information will be released this weekend.

Girls Cross Country Wins Sectional
The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Cross Country team won the 7A Section 3 meet on Thursday morning. The Huskies will now advance to the 7A State Championship meet on November 11.
The Huskies were paced by three runners who finished in the top-10 overall. Kinley Harris was 2nd overall with a time of 19:14.66. Avery Cahoon was 3rd overall as she finished in 19:31.98. Hadley Turner also recorded a top-10 finish with a time of 19:55.76. Mary Durham was 14th overall as she completed the race in 20:04.37. Natalie Wiram was 22nd overall with a time of 20:42.41.

HT Girls Cross Country Schedule/Results:
Boys Cross Country Qualifies for State
HT Boys Cross Country finished 3rd in the 7A Section 3 Meet on Thursday to punch their ticket to the State meet. The Huskies will be one of 16 teams competing for a state title on Saturday November 11.
Oscar Spears was the first Husky across the line as he finished in 17:01.26. Lelan Neal was 13th overall with a time of 17:05.51. John Paul Amari was 14th overall as he finished in 17:06.35. Brooks Maddox was 18th overall with a time of 17:10.19. Noah Jordan scored for the team as well as he completed the race in 17:16.73.

HT Boys Cross Country Schedule/Results:
Girls Flag Football Wins Regional Tournament
The HT Girls Flag Football team won a pair of games in Oxford Wednesday night to capture the regional title. The Huskies have now advanced to the state quarterfinals. HT will be on the road next week against the winner of the Sparkman regional.
The Huskies opened the regional with a come from behind 13-6 win over Gadsden City. In the second game, the Huskies scored 13 points in the 3rd quarter and beat Oxford 13-6.

Swimming: Jasper Challenge Recap
HT Swimming traveled to Jasper on October 26 for the Jasper Challenge. The HT Boys finished 4th out of nine teams and the HT Girls finished 5th out of nine teams.

Bowling: Weekly Recap
HT Boys:
The HT Boys defeated Shades Valley 1384-1029 on October 30 to move to 2-0 in Region play. On November 1, the Huskies competed in the Warrior Classic. Eko Burroughs made the All-Tournament team as he placed 1st overall individually. The team defeated Shades Valley and fell to Vestavia in bracket play.
HT Girls:
The HT Girls defeated Shades Valley 1066-817 on October 30 to remain perfect in Region play. Anna Abney made the All-Tournament team in Wednesday's Warrior Classic tournament. The Huskies defeated Pelham and fell to Stanhope Elmore in bracket play.

Boys Basketball to Open Season November 7
The 2023-2024 HTHS Boys Basketball season will open on November 7 as the Huskies travel to Gadsden City. The home opener is set for November 9.
The "HS Boys Basketball Season Pass" grants access to all home regular season HTHS Boys' games.

Girls Basketball Season Opener Set for November 7
The 2023-2024 HTHS Girls Basketball season will open on November 7 as the Huskies travel to Gadsden City. The home opener is set for November 9.

HTMS Girls Basketball to Open Home Slate Thursday
The HTMS Girls Basketball teams will play at home for the first time Thursday when they host Mountain Brook. The 8th Grade Huskies are 1-0 this season after a 28-21 win at Oak Mountain. Erin Coleman scored 14 points and La'Miya Miller scored 11 points.
Boys Basketball Sweeps on Opening Night
The HTMS Boys Basketball teams defeated Oak Mountain to open the season. The 7th Grade Huskies won 41-23. Joseph Deibert had seven points and Trent Eddleman had six points.
The 8th Grade Huskies won 49-26. Tyler Wilson had 21 points and four steals. CJ Davis scored seven points and had seven steals. HT will travel to Mountain Brook Thursday night.
HTMS Bowling Wins
The HTMS Bowling team swept Clay-Chalkville on Wednesday night. The HT Boys won 846-585 and the HT Girls won 795-609.
