Dear Plum Grove Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to our new students and families as we quickly approach the start of the 22-23 school year. I have many items to share with you today as we frame the start of our school year.

First, The School Supply Kits arrived yesterday. Please come in at your convenience Monday- Friday (except tomorrow, 8/5, our last Friday for summer hours) between 6am and 3 pm to pick up. All of the School Supply Kits are just inside Door 1.

Schedules will be live today on Infinite Campus at 4p.m. If you have a question about your schedule please send me an email at Wilsonk@ccsd15.net and I will get back to you as soon as possible to answer any questions. We are aware that some schedules may be incomplete. We are in the process of fixing them and they should be finished by Monday, August 8th. Please check back on Infinite Campus then, if there is still a problem after Monday please email me at Wilsonk@ccsd15.net.

Understand we do our best to honor requests but sections fill quickly.

If you have not completed an On-line registration for this school year 22-23, please do so at

www.ccsd15.net.

Information went out last night for bus transportation routes and is available to view on your Infinite Campus. There may be adjustments made, so please double check this before the first day of school. If you have recently registered, your route may not be available today, district asks you give three days and then check Infinite Campus again.

Walk Your Schedule for all new students to Plum Grove will be Tuesday, August 16th,

from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. This is a self tour, please bring your schedule and find your classrooms and say hi to your teachers. Please DO NOT bring school supplies in on walk your schedule. School supplies should be brought the first day of school, Wednesday, August 17th. Remember the first day of school is a half day and students will be dismissed at 10:35 a.m.

Assignment notebooks will be sold on Walk Your Schedule Day and the first week of school for $5.00. We strongly recommend students utilize an assignment notebook for organization and structure to their day in Junior High.

Medications. In order for any needed medications to be taken at school, you must fill out a form with our nurse, Heidi Bradley for her to give medication to your child at school.

Student Physicals If your child is planning to be involved in any extra -curricular sports your child must have a current physical on file. Physicals are valid for 13 months.

Lockers will be given out the first day of school by your child's homeroom or 1st period class.

PE uniforms will be distributed during PE the first week of school.

A strong reminder for students. If they choose to bring a cell phone to school, the phone is to be off and away during the day. If you need to reach your child for any reason please call the main office at 847-963-7600 and we will get them out of class for you. We believe in a safe and supportive climate here at Plum Grove.
