Student-Led Conferences and eLearning Day
Student-led conferences will be held on our next eLearning day, Tuesday, November 7 from 8:30-3:45. Be on the lookout! Teachers will be reaching out to set up appointments!!
VETERANS DAY PROGRAM Thursday, November 9, 2023
(FYI: We don't want to turn any veterans away and wish everyone could attend this program!! Our gym/cafeteria can hold approximately 300 people. 4th grade class has about 100 students. That leaves room for about 65-70 veterans plus one person, and their LF students not in 4th grade. We will be working to livestream from Facebook and YouTube so everyone can enjoy! Links will be sent out prior to the event. Thank you for understanding!)

Join us for the Longfellow Literacy Night, Thursday, November 16 from 5-7pm!!
Parents and guardians! Please save the date of Thursday, November 16, from 5-7pm to attend Longfellow's very first Literacy Night! We will have activities for students and some age appropriate books for parents and students to take home!! More information is coming but we look forward to hosting you for this night of fun and games!!!

Oct. 30- Nov.1- Book Fair
Oct. 31 - Halloween parade and classroom parties. Students should bring their costumes to school and will change before the parade at 1:30. Parties will begin after the parade.

Neewe (Thank You) to Community Member Kathy Carter!!
Thank you to Mr. Carter's mom, Mrs. Kathy Carter for visiting our kindergarten classes recently! Mrs. Carter is a member of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and taught students about Native Americans in our area. Students also learned some words that represent the lives of Native American children like fall, ball, grandpa, and family. Neewe, Mrs. Carter!
ADVENTURE CLUB BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE
BEFORE and AFTER SCHOOL CARE HAS STARTED! Longfellow students MUST be signed up with The Adventure Club (TAC) prior to attending.
The Adventure Club provides before and after school care for students signed up with TAC. They accept vouchers and school district employees get a discount.

Substitutes Needed!
Lake Ridge New Tech Schools has partnered with Kelly Educational Staffing (KES) for our substitute teacher and paraprofessional needs. KES will handle all the aspects of our substitute employee program including hiring, training, and scheduling. There are several advantages to this partnership, such as the opportunity for substitute employees to have year-round employment and additional incentives exclusive to employment with KES.
