1st Term Reflections with our Assistant Principals
Ms. Southern
I have certainly felt embraced by our East Lake family these first 2 months of school. It is hard to believe that the end of the first quarter is already here. My favorite part of the day is getting to greet our students as they enter the school building. I have enjoyed getting to partner with our teachers to push instructionally and expand opportunities for our students. We have been purposeful in joining our county in #moreCelebrating! This includes recognizing staff and students weekly with our Friday Feather drawings, our AMAZING Back-to-School Bash, payday treats for our teachers, impromptu Drum line parades and honoring our First Responders on September 11th. We had a great time celebrating SOAR choices with our first Behavior Celebration on October 13th and I look forward to honoring our Veterans on November 10th!
Ms. Varian
This is my 5th year as an Assistant Principal at East Lake, and what a whirlwind of excitement this school year has been so far! From the first bell to the last high-five, we've been on an adventure together, navigating this educational journey with enthusiasm and spirit. The hallways have been buzzing with laughter, celebrations, and the occasional impromptu 80s flash mob dance party (yes, we love to groove!).
We're proud to see students embracing challenges, embracing each other, and embracing their own unique brilliance. As we continue to soar like Eagles through this school year, know that we're committed to providing an environment where your children can thrive, dream big, and take risks. We'll keep going the extra degree, trying new things, and ensuring that each day is filled with learning, growth, and celebrations!
With gratitude and excitement,
Mrs. Varian
Assistant Principal
