Parkview Robotics Team Headed to Robotics World Championship
We would like to congratulate our Parkview Robotics Team, 135B and the following students for qualifying for the Robotics World Championship: Jason Chen, Daniel Pham, Vedarsh Mishra, Sophia Vu, Jaden Ha, Partheeb Sutradhar, Ryan Tu, Bach Nguyen, and Vincent Nguyen. Congratulations to you all!
Parkview Wrestlers are Headed to State
Parkview wrestling competed at Sectionals last week and each wrestler wrestled hard and left it all on the mat at this grueling tournament. We are pleased to congratulate all of these young men for all of their accomplishments this season and for those who punched their ticket to State! Antoine Glasgow Jr, Joseph Cox, Adam Cox, and Antonio Rodriguez Jr. will all compete in Macon at the State Championships!
Parkview Varsity Boys Basketball is Headed to State
Congratulations to the boys varsity team! After a hard fought season, they defeated Archer on Valentine's Day to clinch a state playoff bid for the 5th straight year.

Parkview Market Day
2023 Parkview Day is March 25, 2023 from 10 am - 3 pm. Presented by the Parkview PTSA
Calling all crafters, creators, and people with stuff to sell! Reserve a spot for just $30! All profits from what you sell are yours! Reserve Your Space and Mark Your Calendars for the 2023 Parkview Day - An extravaganza of activities highlighting our community and raising money for the Parkview PTSA.
Vendors - Pay $30 for a dedicated parking spot ($50 for two side by side) through 2/28/23, when the price goes to $35 a spot ($60 for two side by side). Bring your own set up (tables, tent, cash for change, etc.) and sell your stuff to families in the community - food, crafts, creations, and more*! You keep 100% of the profit. *No alcohol or CBD products allowed *Parking spots are approx. 9’X18’.
What we will provide:
- A dedicated parking space in the parking lot in front of the Parkview Gym.
- Activities to draw in people to see your wares
- Live entertainment - Kiddie Corner sponsored by school clubs AND Food Trucks!!
Why are we doing this?
The budget of the Parkview PTSA has been considerably impacted from changes over the last few years. We want to establish an annual fundraiser that is fun, benefits the community, and allows the PTSA to continue its great work. This day will help to unify the Parkview community to raise money to continue the Parkview PTSA programs like grants for teachers, school gifts, teacher/staff hospitality activities, Baccalaureate program, Reflections, and student advocacy.

Attention Student Athletes
Are you interested in volunteering for the Special Olympics event at Parkview on Thursday, April 13th, 2023? The deadline to turn in your permission slip is March 15th.
You must turn in your permission slip with proof of t-shirt purchase to Mrs. Reynolds or Coach Reynolds.

Tip Of The Week
Checking In
If a student arrives after 7:30 am, the student must check-in to school at the attendance office.
To check-in, the student must do the following:
- Provide a written note from a parent/guardian providing
- The tardy will be classified as excused or unexcused according to the same guidelines applied to student absences.
- Present the admit note to the teacher upon arrival to class.
- If no note is provided the check-in will be unexcused
If a student is late but arrives before 7:30 am they must go to a tardy station to check in.
Please remember there are NO CHECKOUTS after 1:30 or over the phone.

Course Registration for 2023/2024
When will we register for classes for the 2023/24 school year?
Course Registration for the 2023/24 school year will finish up in February. Look for the blue link to the Registration Hub on the Parkview website. The Registration Hub will contain the timeline and all the information needed for course registration for both students and parents.

Rising 9th Grade Students
If you have a rising 9th grade student, please review this information.
Work Based Learning - It's Not Too Late to Register
Earn course credit and $$ while working or gain valuable experience in a paid or unpaid internship.
- No job? No worries. Mrs. Phillips will help you find a job or internship-no job or internship is required to register
- Participate 1-4 periods per day, leave school early or come in late-your choice
- You may work or intern anytime during the week to fit your schedule
- Work or intern wherever you choose
- Available to rising juniors and seniors
- You can be in Work Based Learning ALONG WITH DUAL ENROLLMENT.

Please Be On Time Daily
- As a reminder, school begins at 7:15am. We are aware that traffic is heavy. Please leave home early enough to arrive to school and be in 1st period on time. Thank you for helping us have your student to school on time!
- If a student arrives to school after 7:30am, the student MUST check-in through the Attendance Office. If a student needs to leave school for any reason after arriving to school, the student MUST check-out through the Attendance Office. The Attendance Office is located inside the main building lobby.
Don't Forget Your Chromebook
Please remember to bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook Daily! It is important to have these everyday for class use.
Please Don't...
- Bring outside food or have it delivered to anywhere on the school grounds, but please do finish any outside food before you arrive on campus and enter the school.
- Have flowers/balloons/gifts delivered to the school, but please enjoy your celebration at home.
- Expect to check your student out after 1:30, but please do have your student bring a note first thing in the morning so they can get a pass to check-out before 1:30.

We are accepting nominations for Officers for the 2023-2024 School Year. The officer positions open for 2023-2025 term are Vice President and Secretary. If you are interested in being an officer or committee chair for next school year, email PKVWPTSA@gmail.com. PTSA meetings are Tuesday nights, at least one week a month. Officer Elections will be held May 9, 2023 @ 7 pm.
