Interim Assessment
There is an opportunity for all students to demonstrate their preparedness and mastery for the impending E.O.C. Exam in December.
At the recommendation of Mr. Saldivar (U.S. History E.O.C. Tutoring teacher) any student who earns master's and possibly meets on the interim U.S. history test during the week of November 7-11 will not need to attend any additional tutoring.
All students are required to continue to attend tutoring unless Dr. Benskin Director of Alternative Learning approves. Those students that are approved with be notified the week of November 14-18 2022.

2022 Taylor Marceau Scholarship
The Taylor Marceau TAAE Scholarship is open to any student graduating from a Texas Alternative Education program each school year who wishes to attend college or vocational school. Two scholarships of $1,000.00 will be announced during the 2023 annual TAAE Opening Session. This Fall, TAAE will be taking applications for TWO ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIPS. Entry Deadline is December 1, 2022. Please make sure a deserving student is rewarded.

Scholarship Opportunity: Safe Cycling Scholarship 2022 Attorneys at Felix Gonzalez Law Firm are excited to offer the Safe Cycling Scholarship for another year. This scholarship will be given to one student based on their volunteer efforts in their community. This scholarship opportunity is intended to award a compassionate student dedicated to helping and caring for others in their community. We want to award this $1,000 scholarship to a student who demonstrates acts of service to their community. Application Deadline and Instructions: To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must email their full application (including the essay, resumé, and transcript) to contact@felixgonzalezlaw.com by November 30, 2022. Any applications sent after this date will not be considered. Scholarship applications should be sent with the subject line, “Felix Gonzalez Law Firm – 2022 Safe Cycling Scholarship Application.” Application Deadline: November 30, 2022
Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA)
High School of Choice students have an opportunity to take the TSI (Texas Success Initiative) test at HSOC campus on Thursday, December 15th at 8:00 a.m. for free. This opportunity also applies to students who have graduated or completed their coursework this fall semester. The TSI is utilized to assess college readiness. For more information, the link to the Navarro TSI assessment page can be found here: https://www.navarrocollege.edu/testing-center/tsi-assessment.html. There is also a list of exemptions for taking the TSI located on the Navarro link.
