Family Newsletter
Cleveland STEM High School
September 8, 2023
Hello Cleveland Families!
We had a beautiful first three days of school! We focused our time on helping students settle into the school year: they took their school picture, picked up a laptop, learned about the many clubs and athletics opportunities available to them, and learned about the academic supports we provide. Our students made our campus a joyful place to be this week.
This week, I shared with students my dream for Cleveland to be a picture of the beloved community, where everyone belongs, and everyone gets what they need. We know one of our students' great needs is support for mental health. To support our students needs, we will be applying for a significant mental health grant this week through the City of Seattle. We have collected input from students, staff, and now we want to hear from you. If you have not already, please take a moment to fill out this survey to let us know your thoughts on how we can better support our students' mental health.
We hope you and your family have a safe and restful weekend. We look forward to having our first full week of school on Monday!
With Gratitude,
Principal Jeff Lam
Assistant Principal Jacklyn Cable

What can we do to better support student mental health?
We are applying for a significant grant from the City of Seattle to support the mental health needs of our students, and we would love your input on what we should include with our budget proposal.
Please take a moment to consider the kinds of mental health services you would like to see provided for students on campus, and take a moment to share with us your ideas and suggestions on this survey. We will be collecting ideas.
