Sectionals for Symphonic and Honors Band
Sectionals for Honors and Symphonic band will continue this week. All scholars receive a grade based on preparedness in each of these sectionals. If a student is not in attendance, they will earn a zero. Excused absences can be made up for full credit. Unexcused absences can be made up for the highest grade of a 70. Please reach out to your primary director if there are any concerns about sectionals.
Honors band has added French Horn Sectionals on Tuesday afternoons.

Honors Band After School Rehearsals
Friday afternoon rehearsal is THIS week!
Track coaches are aware that students will need to be in attendance for Band rehearsals on Friday afternoons. Coaches and band directors work together to ensure that all students can do all the activities and we do our best to communicate with the students as to which activity they should attend. We always want the students to have the best experience in all that they do. Students should continue to communicate with the band directors and coaches about any conflicts that may arise, BEFORE the day of the conflict.
We will be having our weekly after school rehearsal for the next several weeks. Rehearsals will be 4:00pm-5:30pm. These rehearsals are crucial and we will need everyone in attendance. Please begin to arrange for transportation for your student. Reach out to Mrs. Seymore with any questions or concerns.
Dental Work Considerations
As we enter in to our competition/contest season, we ask that all students try to avoid any dental work in the months of March and April. Getting braces on and/or off can cause the student major problems in their playing. This could potentially put the ensemble at a great disadvantage for our competitions.
As always, please reach out if there are any questions or concerns.
5th Grade Instrument Try Outs! Encourage all of your 5th grade friends to attend
Below you will find a list of all events for the year. These dates are subject to change as needed. We will always give ample time for adjustments in the case of an event change.
