Become our Sunset MAP (Music & Arts Partners) representative
Are you interested in being a booster for the arts in our district?
The Sunset Music Room is looking for a parent to partner with us by being our representative to MAP (Music and Arts Partners)!
Your job as our Rep would be: to attend the monthly MAP meetings, help assist in fundraising, and communicate any important information to the music teachers here at Sunset. You would be working alongside Mrs. Kelly and myself (Mrs. G), and would be a wonderful support for us.
Please contact me at gauthiea@wlwv.k12.or.us if you are interested. We look forward to working with you!

MAP-Music and Arts Partners-Dollar for the Arts Campaign
Just one dollar can make a difference……and each one goes to your school! In the next few days an envelope will come home with your student to donate to the "Dollars for the Arts" campaign.
March is National Music in our Schools month and Youth Art Month and the 20th Annual “Dollars for the Arts” campaign to help support the arts in our school district. Since 1995, WL-WV Music and Arts Partners (MAP) has returned over $900,000 to our schools, the middle school musical, strings programs and scholarships for graduating seniors. MAP is a volunteer, non-profit organization working to promote arts education in our school district.
All contributions are tax deductible per our non-profit 501(c)(3) status. MAP will provide tax receipts for all contributions of $50.00 or more. Checks should be written to: Music and Arts Partners.
Thank you!

Teen Leadership Training
For students entering grades 8 - 10 in the fall
CREST’s Teen Leadership Training is the first step to becoming a camp counselor with our summer camp programs for kids, and is an excellent way for teens to gain leadership skills and career experience. CREST counselors are role models for our young campers, and are often a camper’s favorite part of the camp experience. As a counselor, students help lead games, nature hikes, and other activities at camp. The Teen Leadership Training will help counselors gain leadership skills, including public speaking, group management, and teamwork. We focus on learning and practicing the fun games and activities that we do at camp, so that counselors will be prepared to help lead a small group of campers and be part of our dynamic camp staff. After the training, counselors can choose to volunteer at one of our primary level summer camps.
