Salford Hills Lip Sync!
The Salford Hills Lip Sync will be held Friday, March 22 from 6:30-8:30pm at Indian Crest Middle School.
The Lip Sync is a Souderton tradition. It is an opportunity for students to showcase talents of lip sync and dancing for 90 seconds of their favorite (school appropriate) song. Students participate with groups of their choice or as brave individuals! They create routines to their favorite songs and showcase their talents on stage while families and friends cheer them on. It is a fun-filled and entertaining evening! Get your groups ready and start brainstorming songs and routines!
All participants will need to be registered for this event. Please complete the Lip Sync Sign Up and Song Google Form by Friday, Feb. 16
If you are interested in helping to volunteer with this event, please complete the Lip Sync Volunteer Help Google Form.
Please email any questions or concerns to lipsync@salfordhillshsa.org. Thank you!

Fifth Grade Memory Book
If you have a fifth grader at Salford Hills we would love some photos of your fifth grader (with his/her classmates) over the years at Salford Hills. If you have photos from socials, Race for Education, field trips, or any other school events, we would appreciate your sharing them with us for the 5th Grade Memory Book. Please do not send any individual photos or photos of events outside of school. We exclusively need photos (of two or more children together) from events at Salford Hills.

Winter MAP Assessments Coming Soon
Students in K-5 will soon be taking their Winter MAP Assessments. These assessments provide growth data for each of our students over the time they attend the Souderton Area School District.
Some things students can do at home to prepare are:
- Get a good night's sleep
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Try their best on the assessment
Lunch Utensil Reminder
If you are packing foods your child will need to use a fork or spoon to eat, please send along a fork or spoon. This can be a disposable fork or spoon, or one they can bring home in their lunch container. Thank you for your help 😀

5th Grade Learns About Martin Luther King Jr.
Fifth graders enjoyed learning about Martin Luther King Jr. through a variety of online resources. We also took a look at the memorial in Washington D.C. and its quote—“Out of a mountain of despair, a stone of hope”—and discussed why the artist might have crafted the sculpture the way he did.

Flexible Instruction Day (FID) Information
Souderton Area School District will occasionally use Flexible Instructional Days (FID) rather than traditional “snow days.” Here is a brief reminder of FID expectations:
- A FID is considered a school day. To be counted as attending school, students must respond to the Schoology discussion post/question posted by their teacher. Students must respond to the post by 10:00AM. If a child is unable to access the Internet, then the parent should call the school office at 610-287-9197 to leave a message on the attendance line indicating that the student was unable to access Schoology to answer the discussion post/question.
- Students must complete schoolwork via Schoology. There will be no live sessions. Children may complete schoolwork at a time that is convenient for their family. Your child’s teacher is available, via e-mail, throughout the school day to answer any questions that you or your child have regarding their schoolwork.
- Students or families experiencing technology problems may contact the Student Help Desk for technology support. A link to the Student Help Desk is available by clicking here. Before submitting a support request, please follow the three steps below:
1. Restart your device (power off and power back on).
2. Check that your device is not in airplane mode.
3. Check that the wireless connection is enabled.
