SRTC Toy Drive
Scott Regional Technology Center (SRTC) students came together in a touching display of community spirit, achieving great success with the Kadence Harris Memorial Toy Drive. This meaningful event, organized in memory of SRTC former student, Kadence Harris, brought joy to numerous children, highlighting the profound impact of unity and compassion. SRTC is a regional vocational and technology center for high school students that serves 13 surrounding school districts. Kadence Harris was an aspiring automotive technician excelling in Scott Tech's Auto Technology program under the mentorship of Instructor Chris Lee.
Chain Links at MMS
Chain links at MMS are an annual tradition of compassion and community support. This year, the Monett Middle School celebrated 15 years of making a significant difference in the lives of local families during the Christmas season. For every .25 cents donated, a colorful chain is added to a long link running down the stairs and railings at the MMS campus.
Chain links have consistently risen to the occasion, providing essential items such as clothing, shoes, toys, and food for dinner baskets to families in need. MMS students aim to raise sufficient funds to assist at least ten families, bringing joy and relief during the festive season. This school year, MMS students collected $985.00.

The Health Occupations II program is proud to announce a collaborative partnership with the Barry Lawrence County Ambulance District (BLCAD) and the GO CAPS Monett Medicine & Healthcare program.
This innovative partnership aims to equip students with vital skills and knowledge, laying a solid foundation for their healthcare careers. Starting in January 2024, the BLCAD will dedicate three days each week during the spring semester to provide intensive training to these aspiring medical professionals. The curriculum is designed to meet and surpass the objectives outlined in the national standard EMT Basic Training Curriculum. The new educational approach ensures that students are prepared for real-world challenges and become eligible for the National Registry Certification exam – a crucial step in their professional journey.
The program is specifically tailored for current students enrolled in the GO CAPS and Health Occupations II courses. Interested candidates are required to apply through their instructors to be considered for this exciting opportunity beginning in January 2023.
