PRIDE Under Construction - Week #35 🚧
Greetings, STEAM Family!
I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend. We just concluded an amazing week by hosting Part 1 of our Spring Fling Festivities by way of our Faculty v/s Student Dodgeball game, along with our final PRIDE Buddies Camp Adventure for this school year. Of course, our fearless faculty was able to maintain our UNDEFEATED record for the 4th consecutive year by clutching the victory against our 4th graders in a best of 3 series of dodgeball games. The staff wanted to be sure to give our babies something "special" to always remember us by as we prepare to send them over to Dublin Middle School! 😄 Special thanks to all of our parents who were able to attend! We had an absolute BLAST!
For those who missed Part 1 of Spring Fling, NO WORRIES! SDE families are invited to attend our Splash Down (Part 2) on this Friday, May 12th at the Civitan Fairgrounds. There will be lots of food, fellowship, and fun for you to enjoy with your child as a celebration for a successful school year! Additional details regarding attire and concessions for Splash Down will be sent home this week, so please be on the lookout for such. Be sure to check your child's folder and/or bookbag.
Finally, this week is EXTRA SPECIAL in Dublin City Schools, as we are celebrating NATIONAL TEACHER & STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK. For many teachers, the greatest reward for their job is seeing students thrive and succeed in spite of many of the obstacles and difficulties they may face. Most teachers just want to know that they have helped. With this being said, one of the most important things our students can do for our teachers and staff is say "thank you". We cordially invite all of our students and parents/guardians to join us in celebrating our phenomenal teachers and support staff this week as we "Level Up". Be sure to check out the student activities for each day featured below, and while student participation is highly encouraged, it is strictly voluntary.

WHO ARE WE???...
This Week at SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
- The PRIDE Afterschool Remediation/Enrichment Program takes place on Mondays - Wednesdays from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Snacks and transportation will be provided. For more information regarding the after school program waiting list, please contact the school at (478) 353-8250.
