Your engagement as a Learning Coach is absolutely essential to your student's success, and the Learning Coach Academy will help you to be informed, prepared, and confident for your important role.

The Learning Coach Academy 'Growing to Guide:'

• Provides modules to complete online to inform and prepare you about all things OHVA. Start with Module 1 and move forward throughout the school year.
• Shares recorded videos and online sessions on helpful topics for busy Learning Coaches - new and/or veteran LC's.
• Offers live sessions for mental health and other topics.
• Gives recognition for our hard-working Learning Coaches. Who doesn't like a surprise in the mail? Let us celebrate your learning with you, just as your student grows this year, too.
  

Progress through Module 1 and we'll send you a certificate for your accomplishment. If you want to "Grow to Guide" even more, then you can move on to Modules 2, 3 ,4 and 5.

Please give us your LC information to track with you through the Modules.

We will invite you to our new Canvas LMS platform to begin Module 1, then progress through the Modules in order. Your process of Growing to Guide will continue, with resources for you, in the Canvas platform. Thank you!

Teri Lynn has been with OHVA since 2015. She was a learning coach for a total of 7 1/2 years, most of it with OHVA. She has been a parent, sub teacher, disabilities support coach, ESL instructor, and an OHVA student support team member. She works in the community and church. She also volunteers in outdoor education with Great Parks of Hamilton County. OH.

She works with Susie Ebie in learning coach development and family engagement, and coordinating school clubs and communicating about Learning Coach Academy. She is available for any questions you may have!

Susie has been with OHVA since the school began in 2002. She's been a parent, teacher, and has been in a family support/admin role for 22 years. She loves spending time with her family. She's always open to your ideas!
