You have free access to an amazing career-education tool called Oregon Connections through the Umpqua Valley STEAM Hub. To get started, create an account at the Oregon Connections Website. From there, contact us at dcoregonconnections@gmail.com to request your free upgrade to a platinum account to access the full website.

Next week we celebrate Oregon STEM week, May 10-14! One of the offerings available for free to local educators is a wide variety of online virtual fieldtrips and STEAM related sessions in Oregon Connections. Click to follow a link to an overview of all 33 sessions that will be offered next week! Educators can pick and choose the sessions that fit best for them. Of these 33 amazing Industry Chats, 9 are ELEM sessions, 17 are MS, and 22 are for HS students.

Four of the STEM sessions are local to Douglas County! Click on the photos below to learn more about each session – following the link will allow you an opportunity to sign up for the industry chat. If you can’t make the live time work, you can click a button to get a recording of the virtual fieldtrip sent to you.

*** Educators must have a platinum Oregon Connections account to access live virtual sessions. The first session you watch is free, then you must have an upgraded account to watch additional sessions. The Umpqua Valley STEAM Hub can provide a free platinum license to any educator in Douglas County. Simply follow these steps to upgrade your account subscription!
