Student ID Cards and Lanyards
Beginning Thursday, January 11th, all RCS students throughout the district will wear lanyards with their school identification cards attached during the day and while riding the buses. Some special education and alternative education students may have alternate plans for wearing the ID cards. These new systems also provide for quick and secure recognition of RCS students as ID cards have a photo of the student. RCS will be implementing ParentPatrol, a student tracking system that provides our families with real-time data on the location of their students as they travel to and from school on our RCS buses. This system utilizes student identification cards to identify students loading and unloading the bus. Parents are then able to follow their students on a phone app. The RCS Transportation Department can send direct messages through the app as well. These same cards will also be utilized for the processing of meals in our cafeterias. This should make breakfast and lunch lines run quicker with less risk of human error as students will swipe their ID and the food service software instantly identifies the student for meal register processing.
The dance is open to 9th - 12th grade and a ticket will cost $10. Tickets will go on sale the week prior to the dance, they will not be sold at the door. Students will not be able to attend the dance if they have excessive tardies, habitual truant, suspension, ISR (3 days) or have been expelled from school or on a PCEA. Students wanting to bring a guest, must get a guest form from the main office to be approved by administration prior to the dance.

Excessive Tardies Detentions: Being on time to every class is important!
In an effort to encourage students to be on time to every class, we first warn students with excessive tardies and then if it continues, students are assigned a one hour after school detention.
By students getting to class on time, it decreases the class disruptions and the teacher having to stop instruction to let students enter. Being on time is also a life skill we want our students to learn.
All RHS students need to show their current RHS ID to enter all athletic events.

Student Handbook
Students will be able to access the RHS handbook on line through Canvas. Parents and students can also access the handbook on the RHS website. The purpose of this handbook is to make it easier for students, especially those who are new to RHS, to get off to a good start.
It is the students responsibility to read and become familiar with this information and to understand that its purpose is to ensure that everyone is offered a fair and equal opportunity to receive the best education possible.
Student Parking
Students are to park either in the student parking lot across from the Tiernan Center or on the streets around the school. All other parking lots around the school building are reserved for faculty and staff. Students parking in RHS lots that are reserved for faculty, staff, or visitors risk having their car towed from the site at the owner’s expense. If you have any questions regarding parking at RHS, contact Ms. Rae Woolpy at 973-3314.
