HCS - Hoover City Schools will return to a staggered schedule upon return from Thanksgiving, Monday, November 30, 2020. This is due to a rise in community spread of COVID-19 and the number of individuals being impacted due to close contacts. Our students and school personnel have been similarly impacted. In the case of personnel, we have been presented with staffing challenges.

Please note the following:

• Hoover HS Feeder Pattern: Student last names A-L attend Monday & Thursday; Last names M-Z attend Tuesday and Friday.

• Spain Park HS Feeder Pattern: Student last names A-K attend Monday & Thursday; last names L-Z attend Tuesday and Friday

• ALL students off campus on Wednesdays for at-home, remote learning.

Moreover, when we return from Winter Break (the first day back for students is January 4, 2021), we will maintain staggered scheduling for the first two weeks. With Monday, January 18, 2021 being MLK Jr. Day, all students will resume a 5-day week schedule on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

We monitor COVID-19 data from a variety of sources on a continual basis. You will hear directly from us if further conditions warrant additional student scheduling changes.
