Cameron Stephan is our Artist of the Week for his accuracy on his zoom-in series. Art students learned about the grid technique to scale up or down an image, all while maintaining proportion. Nice work, Cameron!

Students in Mrs. Weatherly's and Mrs. Taschner's classes spent the week working on the final project for their independent reading unit. Students could choose to make an advertisement, record a podcast, or plan and cast the movie for their novel. On Friday, students from both classes met together to showcase their work.

MMS Parent Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, November 16, 2023.The first half (2:45PM to 5:30PM) will be virtual or phone calls. The second half of the evening (6:00PM-8:45PM) will be in person and will be held in individual teacher classrooms. Sign-ups will be available on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

To access your child's Fall NWEA scores, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Log into Skyward.

2. Select your child's name from the dropdown menu at the top (if applicable).

3. From the menu on the left side, select Test Scores.

4. Select NWEA3 - NWEA 6th-12th dated 9/18 for their most recent results.

MMS Drama is back and will be putting on a production of Dorothy in Wonderland! Mrs. Lapenta is looking for students who wish to be a part of the cast and crew of this amazing production. Auditions will be held in the Cafeteria on Monday, November 5th and Wednesday, November 7th. Interested students should complete the Google Form emailed to them.

Our district's annual Blue Out for Type 1 diabetes (T1D) awareness will be on Tuesday, November 14th. Staff and students are encouraged to wear blue to bring awareness to the many Type 1 diabetic students attending South Lyon Schools.
