Principal's Note
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we celebrate Veterans Day today, we have a wonderful opportunity to pause and express our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. It's a time for us to recognize the immense sacrifices made by our veterans and their families in the pursuit of our nation's safety and freedom. In our bustling daily lives, it's important to take a moment to reflect on the courage and dedication of these individuals. Their commitment to our country's values and their unwavering spirit in the face of adversity is an inspiration to us all, and it is especially impactful for our young learners to understand and appreciate these qualities.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host our annual Veterans Day assembly, and we're grateful for the participation of our school community. The assembly was not just an event; it was a heartfelt tribute and an educational experience for our students. It was a chance for them to connect with history, understand the importance of service, and develop a deeper respect for the people who have worn our country’s uniform. We believe that instilling these values in our children is pivotal in nurturing well-rounded, empathetic, and respectful citizens.
We extend our deepest thanks to our SCO for hosting breakfast for our veterans and their families, and to Mrs. Ricketts and her students for facilitating the event. I also want to recognize all staff, students, and community members who participated. Whether you helped with organizing or simply joined us in honoring our veterans, your involvement has been invaluable. Let's continue to encourage our children to express their gratitude, not just on Veterans Day, but every day, for the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy because of the sacrifices made by our veterans. Thank you for being a part of this important observance and for helping us instill these significant values in our students.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Bell
