Where Learning Comes First
Principal's Post
Dear Head Community,
You recently received communication through ParentSquare regarding calendars for next year and the following year. We want to hear your voice! Please take a look at all aspects of each calendar and take the survey using the link that was in your email. Each person (email address) may only vote once. Thank you in advance for taking the time to do this.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Social Media Matters
Are you tagging the correct school page/account on your posts?
Please make sure to tag "R.D. Head Elementary School", which is the official school page and the one we control.
Unfortunately, some are tagging "Head Elementary School" which is an unofficial Facebook page that we did not generate and have no control over. The profile image looks identical on both pages (the correct one has the #GCPSstrong banner) so it can be confusing.
Our official school social media accounts are:
Facebook: @rdheadelementary (https://www.facebook.com/rdheadelementary)
Instagram: head_elementary (https://www.instagram.com/head_elementary/)
Also, please be mindful when taking pictures here at school. You can help protect student privacy on social media by only taking and posting images on social media of your own child. Please avoid taking and posting images of other students as some have not consented to the district's media release agreement. Thank you for your help with this!
Surveys
Good afternoon Bronco Families,
Throughout the school year, a variety of surveys are given to students, staff, and families to gather feedback and information. There are no new surveys this year, but we wanted to direct you to the district website to review any surveys that students participate in during the year.
For more information, please visit https://www.gcpsk12.org/Page/35333.
Family Learning NIght
Come on out for a night of learning and fun! Doors open at 6:00 PM, but you can drop in anytime before 7:30.
Have you accessed your Parent Portal account recently?
We know that families want easy access for need-to-know information about their student's education— from records to resources. Just as important, you want an easy way to stay in touch with the school.
The updated GCPS Parent Portal gives parents access to grades, assignments, and communication with teachers. The GCPS Parent Portal gives families a direct line to the classroom, with 24/7 real-time information and anytime, anywhere access, with in-portal translation in multiple languages.
For more information regarding the GCPS Parent Portal (or to register for an account), please visit: https://www.gcpsk12.org/Page/26042
Please note that the GCPS Parent Portal is different from the new ParentSquare app. Parents should access both tools to ensure they have up-to-date information for their student!!
