Good Morning Stanwood Middle School Families!

We hope everyone is enjoying the great weather. Starting today, and throughout the school year, you will see a Family Message almost every Saturday morning from Stanwood Middle School. Communication is key for us at SMS. If at any point during the year you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

As you can see above, our Open House will be Tuesday, August 30th. You will be able to tour the school, pick up information, and greet many of our teachers on this night! Our office will be open during Open House too, but we will not be selling Yearbooks and ASB cards, these will be available for sale Monday, August 29th to Thursday, August, 31st from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We have a new Office Manager for the start of the year! Kirsti Daniels will be taking over for Wendy Roope. She will be a huge help if you have questions. Her email is kdaniels@stanwood.wednet.edu

Families that do not receive this message will need to make sure their email addresses are updated in Skyward. Our fantastic PTO has a Facebook page (below), please help direct families to this as well.

Student class schedules will be released on Wednesday, August 24th. Thank you for your patience as we clean up things and get ready for the new year!

Athletic Registration is now open for the first sports season. Spartans can register for Girls Soccer or Cross Country. Practices start on September 6. Our office will need a hard copy of your Spartan's physical, if they do not have one on file from last year.

As a reminder, here are the seasons, dates, and sports offered this school year. Sports are available to all 7th and 8th graders (6th graders can participate in wrestling only).

It would be best if you can wait to buy supplies until students have met their new teachers, but below is a list of supplies you can purchase if you are headed out this week. We know how enticing the sales are at this time of year. We will have more details later in the week.
