A Message from Mr. Hernandez
North Lake Family,
Welcome to the first edition of The Blazer Beat! I am excited to provide you with updates for the week and information on what is happening on our beautiful campus. I am so proud to serve as the Principal of North Lake ECHS and can’t wait to see the heights our campus will soar! Our students are about halfway through the 3rd 9 weeks and are working hard in their high school and college courses on campus daily. I am so proud of our students and staff's work here at North Lake ECHS, which truly makes it a special place to learn. As a reminder, students must attend school daily and arrive to class on time.
Students are expected to be in class no later than 8 am, Monday-Friday.
Wednesdays are school uniform day; black polo North Lake ECHS Polo Shirt, Khaki or Black Pants, or business attire.
As a reminder, students are to wear ID badges at all time and remain in Dallas ISD Approve Dress Code daily.
If students are absent, please submit an absence not to the main office to have it excused.
Thank you for your continued support of North Lake ECHS and have an amazing week!
Sincerely,
Adrian Hernandez
Principal
North Lake Early College High School

This week students in 10th – 12th Grade received updated class rankings. Official rankings and transcripts will be available on Monday, February 19th in Schoolinks.
What is class rank?
Class rank is a way to see how your academic achievements measure up to those of your classmates.
Your class rank is determined by comparing your weighted GPA to the weighted GPA of people in the same grade as you.
You may qualify for automatic admission to many public universities in Texas through the Top 10% Rule. To meet the requirements, you must graduate on the Distinguished Level of Achievement graduation plan and in the top 10% of your class. Class rank and the weighted GPA are used to determine students in the top 10%.
Please contact your child’s counselor if you have any questions!
