BHA Annual Banquet 2023 - Investing In the Next Generation
Assalamu Alaikum Dear Parents and Community Members,
For 30+ years, Bright Horizon Academy/Islamic School of San Diego has been a pioneer of Islamic Education in the greater San Diego area. As members of the Islamic community, we know the importance of providing a strong educational foundation for our children. An Islamic school not only helps students excel academically, but also instills in them the values and teachings of Islam.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our 2023 BHA Annual Banquet, Investing in the Next Generation, on Saturday, February 11th 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Muslim Community Center of Greater San Diego.
Our yearly banquet is the only major fundraising event for the school and with the Grace of Allah (SWT) and the support of generous donors, we hope to collect the needed funds during this year’s fundraiser to secure the required expenditures. Please consider making a donation and help us spread the word by sharing with your friends and family.

Organized by the Student Council and NSTEM Chapter
Activities, games, and competitions will be scheduled throughout the day, along with opportunities to purchase from a food truck. Parents are invited to come and support their children and enjoy the company of other AG families.

Choosing The Right College
5K Run Program for Girls
We are excited to announce that we will be implementing a new training program for the girls in grades 7th-10th during P.E. time. A special thank you to Jab’s Fit Lab’s coach for volunteering her time and expatriates to run this program.
Coach Jabs is a Certified Youth Exercise Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. One of her specialties is strengthening and conditioning runners or hikers. Other than JFL’s fitness membership programs for women, JFL has also executed a 4 week Bootcamp for girls.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
7 week program
Start Date : Jan 30 - March 18
Race Day: March 19 - San Diego Hot Chocolate 5k
During P.E hours
50 minute/ session
Each week will have a goal for students to work on conditioning, strengthening with speed & agility drills.
Training will also include mental toughness coaching with a weekly theme.
NACAC National College Fair
We are thrilled to announce that our school will be attending the NACAC National College Fair – Los Angeles on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 6pm - 8:30pm and Friday, April 28, 2023 from 9am - 1pm. All high school students and parents are highly encouraged to attend this event.

Reagan Leadership Summit
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is hosting the Reagan Leadership Summit for high school students on February 3 and 4.

For Tuesdays and Thursdays lunches are paid in advance but if you decide to pay on the same day of the lunch, you can pay for it in the morning at the main office.
The Monday and Wednesday lunches can be paid to your teacher on the morning of that day.
