FLEX Time will be implemented for our students starting Oct. 2nd. We are excited to provide our students the opportunity to meet with teachers for additional academic support, clubs, activities, social-emotional support, and more during the school day.

FLEX time is a 40-minute period in the day where students engage in targeted intervention or high-engagement enrichment. FlexiSCHED is the platform we will use to manage Flex Time offerings. The FlexiSCHED system links students to their classroom teachers and those teachers schedule the students to attend either an intervention period if they need the extra time and support, or an enrichment offering if they are in good standing. Teachers can request/require a student to attend a specific “Flex Period”, or students can have the opportunity to self-select the intervention and/or enrichment they need; creating personalized learning pathways.

Students will be provided training on the FlexiSCHED system and sign up for their first weeks of Flex Time offerings on Sept. 28th during Academic Lab. Flex Time will begin on Oct. 2nd. Weekly, students will sign up for their FLEX selections the Thursday before the following week. Teachers have the opportunity to “hard schedule” students into their intervention offerings. All teachers and student services staff will be required to provide an offering during FLEX time, and all students will be required to participate.

Homecoming Dance Criteria

• No more than 5 periods of unexcused absences or unexcused tardies and no in school or out of school suspension from September 11th- September 29th. Even after you are approved and purchase a ticket, your attendance will be revoked due to a suspension!

• Attendance corrections need to be addressed before buying a ticket.

Homecoming Dance Ticket Sales

• Tickets cost $15 and Guests will be $20 They will be sold September 18th-September 27th. Sales will be run in the IMC before and after school.

• The dance contract must be filled out for all BMHS students and guest contracts for students at other schools can be picked up in the PACMES Academy Office.
