Regular Academic Session Courses (01/13 - 05/05):

• March 9th: Last day to make registration changes without the dean's signature. Reading day, no classes.
• March 10th: Instructor's and dean's signatures are required on all Change of Schedule forms to add or change classes. Reading day, no classes.
• March 30th: Last day to file for Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO). Last day for students to withdraw from a class online through UAccess.
• March 31st: Instructor and dean's signatures required on a Late Change Petition in order to withdraw from class and students must have an extraordinary reason for approval.

Seven Week First Session Courses (01/13 - 03/08):

• March 8th: Last Day of Class. No registration changes can be made after the last day of class. Final exams.

Seven Week Second Session Courses (03/11 - 05/05):

• March 11th: First day of 7 week - second classes. UAccess still available for registration. First day to file for the Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO).
• March 14th: Last day to use UAccess for adding classes, changing classes, or changing sections.
• March 15th: Instructor approval required on a Change of Schedule form to add or change classes.
• March 18th: Last day to drop without a grade of W (withdraw) Classes dropped on or before this date will remain on your UAccess academic record with a status of dropped, but will not appear on your transcript.
• March 19th: W period begins A penalty grade of W will be awarded for each withdrawal and the class(es) will appear on your transcript.

Registration for Fall 2021 is coming up in April, but we encourage you to start preparing now.

Registration dates are based on your class standing. Check the registration calendar and your class standing ahead of time. Class standing is based on your completed/earned units; not your projected units for the end of the semester.

Pro Tips:

• Meet with or contact an advisor for your major and contact your minor advisor (if applicable) before your registration date.
• Prepare your shopping cart and know how to search for classes. Tutorials can be found online for general refreshing.
• Know your major. Enrollment in some courses will be restricted to specific majors. Several courses will be open only to (Pre)Psychological Science majors while others will be open only to Psychology BA majors. Be aware that "Psychology BS" is no longer a major and it differs from the Psychological Science major.
• Take placement tests beforehand (or as soon as possible). Math, writing, and second language placement scores may be necessary to enroll in related courses.

The advising team will continue to offer remote advising via Phone or Zoom until further notice. Appointments can be scheduled with your assigned advisor or you can search all Psychology advisor availability via Trellis.

Many advising questions can be answered via email. Remember your email etiquette when emailing your advisor or other university entity including faculty or university services. Take some time to prepare for an appointment. Have a list of questions ready to help facilitate the conversation and use Trellis give helpful details to the advising team to allow us to prepare for the appointment as well.

Wildcats R.I.S.E. is a new, safe place that brings UArizona students together to sort it all out, whatever it is. Our free group and individual sessions offer students a chance to connect and talk with peers who are dealing with similar stressors. Because talking helps, especially when you’re talking to someone who gets it.

1. THINK TANK’s Online Services Page

• THINK TANK’s hub for all online services for the Spring 2021 semester.
• Brief video demonstrating how to access online services by subject area found here.

2. Academic Skills Resource Page Redesign

• This page is now categorized by topics including Time Management, Reading Strategies, Learning Strategies, Exam Strategies, Online Strategies, and Well-Being.
• Within each page students will find a brief description of the topic’s importance, self-paced modules, resources, and link to accessing the Academic Skills Tutoring and workshops.

3. Academic Skills Tutors (ASTs)

• Peer tutors who help students with their study skills both individually or through our workshop series.
• Meet 1:1 with an Academic Skills Tutor: students can attend drop-in hours or make an appointment to meet with an AST. For more information click here

The Human Memory Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona is recruiting Spanish-English bilingual and monolingual-English speaking adults age 18 to 35 or over the age of 64 that identify as Hispanic to participate in a study investigating memory processes by describing life experiences. Monetary compensation will be provided. The study will take place via Zoom.

An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed and approved this research project, according to applicable regulations and University policies.

The Child Cognition Lab under Dr. Gomez (Psychology) is looking for students to help administer experiments investigating language acquisition, memory development, and sleep in infants, toddlers, and preschool age children.

Student research assistants receive 3 units of independent study credit for a 10.5-hr/week commitment (total of 135 hours/summer). We ask students make a 1-year commitment beginning May 2021 through Spring 2022.

Preferred:

1) Personal vehicle

2) Have had a driver's license for at least 2 years

We are looking for students with availability fitting within one or more of the categories below:

1) Availability 2 or more weekdays for 6 or more consecutive hours between the hours of 8a-5p

2) Availability 2 or more consecutive weekdays for at least 2 consecutive hours, between the hours of 9a-5p

This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in early childhood cognition and development who want to get a foot in the door to cutting edge research on developmental cognitive neuroscience. More details are available in response to email inquiries.
