Section V Champs!

Our Titan Field Hockey Team won the sectional final Monday Night beating Penfield 4-2. Olivia B had 3 goals and Kristina F had a goal. The Titans jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the 3rd quarter. Penfield scored two unanswered goals later in the third. Olivia B scored her 3rd goal in the 4th quarter to give the Titans the 4-2 lead. Maddie S and the Defense led by Sophie S thwarted the Penfield attack as they tried to even the score.

The Titans will face the Section VI champion, Orchard Park, in Far West Regionals at Thomas on Saturday. Game is at noon.

Boys Volleyball

Webster boys volleyball advanced to Saturday's Section V final with a straight set victory over Penfield last night. Joey P led the Lakers' attack with 13 kills, supplemented by Gavin T and Evan C collecting 10 and 8 kills respectively. Defensively, Bodey G was brilliant with 13 digs and a team-leading serve-receive efficiency, while Ryan W and Gavin T roofed thee blocks apiece. Nick A continued his distribution "reign of terror" with 36 assists to quarterback the offense. The Section V Championship will be played this Saturday at Finger Lakes Community College, tipping off at 8:00.

Girls Swim and Dive

Sectionals are taking place through this weekend. The prelims took place last week and the finals are today Friday at the WAC.

Sectionals for Fall Varsity Sports

• Sectionals for our varsity teams will be taking place Starting next week 10/16.

• Once the last regular season game is completed, you can find sectional information on the Section V website (https://sectionv.org/). Click on the "Sports" tab and then the sport you are looking for. Once on that sports page, there is a tab "Sectionals" that will list brackets, games, times, etc.

• There will be a fee for some sectional events (see below). This is also listed on the Section V website, under the "Ticket" tab.

• You can purchase digital tickets from the Section V website listed above. Click on the "Ticket" tab and then click "purchase tickets". The purchasing ticket link will only be live once the teams and dates have been set. Once the game is added to our calendar, a ticket link will be added to that particular game.

Congratulations to Molly S for being selected to the 2023–24 Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra, This is the highest-level youth orchestra in The Hochstein School’s four-tier youth orchestra program. Congratulations Molly for achieving this high honor!

We are incredibly proud and excited to announce that the Webster Marching Band received 2nd place at the New York State Field Band Championships on Sunday in the Carrier Dome with their highest score of 90.75!

Webster's passion and energy was breathtaking, and one of the finest performances seen on the field! Please congratulate and celebrate our marching band students for all of their hardwork and dedication this season!

Counter-Strike 2 Team

The Thomas Titans Counter-Strike 2 Team won their last two matches 1-0 and are currently 3-1. The Thomas Titans are currently ranked 5/24 teams in the nation and are in the hunt for playoffs.

Valorant Team

Last Wednesday the Thomas Valorant Team lost their third match 0-1 in a best of one format and are currently 1-2. Thomas Titans are currently ranked 69/102 teams in the East division

Rocket League 2v2 and 3v3 Teams

On Monday the Thomas Titans 2v2 team lost their second match of the Fall Major season 2-3 in a best of five format. Thomas Titans 2v2 teams currently ranked 228/276 teams in the Atlantic division

On Thursday the Thomas Titans 3v3 first team won their second and third match of the Fall Major season both 3-0 in a best of five format. The Thomas Titans 3v3 second team won their first match of the season in a 3-0 in a best of five format. Thomas Titans 3v3 first team is currently ranked 2/81 teams in the East division and the Thomas Titans 3v3 second team is currently ranked 48/81 teams in the East division.

Apex Legends Team

On Thursday the Thomas Apex Legends Team lost their fourth match 2-1 in a best of three format and are currently 0-4. Thomas Titans are currently ranked 182/230 teams nationwide

Overwatch2 Team

On Thursday the Thomas Overwatch2 Team lost their first match 3-0 in a best of five format and are currently 3-1. Thomas Titans are currently ranked 24/146 teams nationwide.

On Wednesday this week Earth Club members traveled to Hobart and William Smith Colleges to attend the 2023 Finger Lakes Youth Climate Summit. They attended climate workshops, collaborated with other school districts to learn about events and activities, and developed a climate action plan for Webster Thomas.

We were delighted & humbled by the incredibly generous donations made to school buildings and on the day of the event! Families in our community enjoyed a wonderful day of shopping!
