Updated Flu and COVID-19 vaccines available at school!
The CDC recommends people aged 12 years and older who got COVID-19 vaccines before September 12, 2023 should get an updated vaccine.
The flu shot is recommended for people 6 months and older. It can reduce flu illnesses, visits to doctor’s offices, and missed work and school due to flu, as well as make symptoms less severe and reduce flu-related hospitalizations and deaths.
Risk factors for serious illness from flu or covid include asthma, diabetes, weakened immune system, and other chronic health conditions.
The Teen Health Center has both 2023-2024 Flu and COVID-19 vaccines available for students. If you are interested in your child receiving either vaccine, registration and parent consent forms are available in Room 2060.
