NHS Mission Statement
Working together with the student, the parent, and the community, Northwestern High School will establish a strong foundation for lifelong learning by nurturing, challenging, and guiding all students toward their maximum academic, vocational, artistic, physical, social, and emotional potential.
Principal's Message
Dear Trojan Families,
This week, we will conduct MAP and Benchmark testing, which will significantly influence our instructional practices and intervention strategies moving forward.
MAP and Benchmark Testing:
This week marks the beginning of MAP and Benchmark testing. The results from these assessments will guide our instructional practices and interventions throughout the year. It is imperative that our students put forth their best effort during these assessments to provide us with an accurate measure of their academic progress.
Effective Communication:
Communication is a key pillar of our success this year. We encourage you to maintain an open line of communication with your child's teachers. Should you have any questions or concerns about their academic journey, please do not hesitate to reach out. Together, we can provide the support and guidance our students need to thrive.
Engage in Meaningful Conversations:
Engaging in meaningful conversations with your child about their experiences in class and on campus can have a profound impact on their development. Your consistent presence and interest in their education will help them navigate challenges and become the best version of themselves.
Important Reminders:
To ensure a safe and respectful learning environment, we kindly request that everyone adhere to the following guidelines:
- No cell phones after 8:35: To minimize distractions and promote focused learning.
- Respect all adults: Encourage politeness and courtesy in all interactions.
- Only enter C building during lunch: To maintain a structured and secure campus environment.
- Seek adult help if conflicts arise: Encourage students to reach out to trusted adults when they encounter challenges.
- Be kind to others: Promote empathy and inclusivity, fostering a positive school community.
Warm regards,
Michael Abraham
Principal
