If you have not already done so, please complete the Say Yes Parent/Guardian Survey. Davis is a Say Yes school, so we have additional staff and support services to help ensure students graduate and receive assistance with their college application process.

You must have your child's student ID number and birthdate to take the survey. Student ID numbers can be found on a student report card, or please see the previous email from us with the ID #.

There is a MANDATORY M/F STUDY HALL for all students who received at least one Incomplete on their report card. Study Hall is on Mondays and Fridays from 1-2:40PM until your student completes all missing work from 1st Quarter. For full details about our "Incomplete" Policy or to access the links to join study, please click on the document below.

Tutors are available during asynchronous time.

Tutors can help: understand and complete assignments, read, write and proofread, organize assignments and manage your time, study for upcoming tests

I'm still undecided. I have a passion for football and would like to play in college. I've applied to Akron and Youngstown and hope to play there and major in sports management. My back up plan is to go to a trade school and pursue a career in heating and cooling.

Senior Parents: With the semester coming to an end in the coming weeks, it is even more important that we work with you and your student to ensure their college applications and FAFSA are completed. Both the student and the parent will need to create an FSA ID (fsaid.ed.gov) and have access to their 2019 federal taxes to submit the FAFSA.

We will be hosting a FAFSA night where you and your student can work with Mr. Markusic to submit the FAFSA. This will be held Tuesday, December 15 from 4pm-8pm. Each appointment is an hour, so be sure to sign up quickly! You can sign up at https://tinyurl.com/DavisFAFSA1215. Sophomore & Junior Parents: Three times a year, College Now runs an after-school SAT preparation program called impact!. We are still offering this program while school is virtual, and our next session runs from January 11-March 12. Students who participate and successfully complete the program will receive additional support in math, reading, grammar, and college and career exploration, as well as a $200 stipend. This program is open to any student in Cuyahoga County, but Davis students should choose "CPL-Main" as their location. If your student is not interested in attending college, or is interested in college and would like to know more about careers, view and register for presentations on a number of career fields here. From film and photography to cosmetology to government careers, there is a wide variety of offerings.

CMSD’s Parent University program has scheduled virtual tours of college campuses for students and their families.

The District’s Family and Community Engagement Department typically schedules in-person campus tours in the fall but had to cancel those plans this year due to the threat of COVID-19.

Is your Davis student interested in participating in Aviation Club, Boat Building Club, or utilizing the 3D printers in the Fabrication Lab? For more information on these activities and others, fill out the Thematic Opportunities Interest form.
