Principal's Message
Dear Thomas Families,
This week at school, teachers have been introducing the TIGER Way. The acronym “TIGER” stands for Trustworthy, Inclusive, Growing, Empathetic, and Responsible. These are the qualities that we value as a school and that we use to drive our behavior.
This week, staff members have taught students how to show “The TIGER Way” in different areas of the school. By teaching clear expectations in the lunchroom, classroom, playground, and so on, we are setting students up to make great choices!
In fact, when students are noticed demonstrating the TIGER Way, they might even earn a Tiger Ticket. If your child comes home with a Tiger Ticket, give them all the praise and credit they deserve, and ask them to specifically describe what they did to earn it. We want to reinforce the great behavior we hope to see!
Go Tigers,
Melissa Garris

SCHOOL STORE
Beginning Friday, September 1, the Thomas Elementary School Store will be open for business!
When students finish eating lunch, they may choose to purchase an item from the school store (located in the lunchroom). They can buy items like mechanical pencils, stickers, keychains, and more! The cost of items range from just a few cents to one dollar. Please limit the amount your child brings in to spend each week to under $5.
Thank you to the PTO for managing the school store and giving our students this opportunity!
