TONIGHT! At Birdfish Brewing Company's Down Low location in Columbiana (140 East Park) from 4-9pm! Have a pint and leave a tip - Goodness Grows gets 100% of all money raised this way! (Thanks, Birdfish!!) All the proceeds from Pirates Life Pinball will be donated to GG as well! We'll be there with jam for sale, samples that will compliment the beer flights, plus we will be selling raffle tickets for this lovely basket full of Jungle Jam, crackers, a gift card for Youngstown's Avalon Downtown, and a gift certificate to be used at our table at any farmers market, flea, or craft show this year. It will be a night full of local Goodness! Hope to see you there!

Mission Night Market

The 2nd Friday of each month May-October from 6-10pm

at 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman. A Night Market with a Mission, showcasing local makers, vendors, entertainment, food & drink. We welcome all ages and we're family and pet friendly. Donations will be accepted for the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley.

The Youngstown Flea “Market For Makers”

Held once per month, right in the heart of the Downtown Youngstown area. 9am-3pm - June 15, July 13, Aug 17, Sept 7, Oct 5

Austintown Farmers Market

Monday evenings from 5-8pm in the beautiful Austintown Township Park on Kirk Road. The summer season will run from June 10 to August 26. Special Friday night markets held in May, September, October, November & December. In the event of inclement weather, the market will be held indoors when possible.

We had a spectacular time on Monday with our first mission group of the 2019 season! A great big THANK YOU goes out to Canfield Presbyterian Church (just up the road in Canfield, Ohio) for bringing their youth here to spend a day of service. This high energy group of young people and their adult volunteers weeded, tilled, weed whacked, planted, painted, and more. We now have a beautiful painted rock for our newly planted flower bed to commemorate their visit.

We are looking forward to another mission group next week and then more in July!

It's our favorite time of the year. Things are (finally) growing, the weather is (sort of) better, and our crew expands with our summer helpers! This season, we are excited to say "Welcome home!" to Bradly, Darius, and Trevor and to welcome, for the first time, Cameron! Adding these hard working, polite, and fun-filled young men to our GG family is a pleasure. Can't wait to see what we accomplish together throughout this busy season!

CSA pick-up starts this week, for those subscribers who chose the Weekly Share option! Shares will be ready for pick-up on Thursdays from 4-7pm. We are looking forward to seeing everyone! (Next week is the start of the Bi-Weekly option.)

We thank each and every one of our CSA subscribers for supporting the mission of Goodness Grows! We hope you enjoy this year's CSA program and we will strive to provide the freshest, tastiest local produce and value-added products as possible. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask/call/email/text...whatever works for you. We want to hear about the good and the bad so that we can continue to grow and improve our program!

We are so honored to be invited to these two fabulous local events each year! Both events highlight some of the special things about our area ~ our amazing every day local heroes and our beautiful Mahoning River. Both organizations (Heroes & Halos and the Friends of the Mahoning River) work every day to better our communities and to help people make connections with others and with what our region has to offer. We salute them, their dedication, and their hard work!

We still have some huge Boston Ferns left from our fern sale. They are now discounted - $17 each or two for $30, including tax. Give us a call if you'd like to stop by to purchase a fern. We will also have them with us this weekend at the Mission Night Market and at the Youngstown Flea, while supplies last!
