Santa Clara Clarion
Staying Connected, January 13, 2023
If you didn't catch this last time ... Enjoy!
We are excited for this coming Sunday. David and Sarah Culley - Yes, you're Lieutenants from Santa Clara will join us for worship this Sunday. It'll be good to hear from them and see what God's been doing in their personal lives and the ministry that He's called them into.
We'll also have a special blessing of Everly being dedicated in church. Be prepared to smile big and pray over Kristen, Eric, Eva, and Everly during this special time.
Please remember to bring what you can to share in the potluck on after church on Sunday. It snuck up on us due to the holidays - but we forge ahead because the fellowship is so great!
See you in a couple of days!
Major Shoshannah
Note: Majors Ruwethin will be at the Young Adult Retreat from 1/20-22 with some of our young adults. Please pray now for the moving of the Spirit during this weekend.

TBD - connect to the Remind App for updates.
This year’s theme is “One-of-a-kind”, with the verses found in Job 12:10 - “In his hands is the life of every living creature and the breath of all mankind.”
Our kids will learn about the one-of-a-kind snake that spoke to Adam and Eve, the one-of-a-kind lions whose mouths were miraculously closed, the one-of-a-kind fish that swallowed a man, and the one-of-a-kind donkey that spoke, and one-of-a-kind Lamb who died for our sins.
Through this rally, we hope to reignite youth programs in our division!

Read the Bible in a Year
Ready to read through the entire Bible this year? By dividing the Bible into 365 daily readings, we have designed a plan that will help you achieve your goal! Whatever the year brings, our prayer is that you slow down, spend more time in God's Word, and renew your focus on his will for your life. We encourage you to keep track of your progress with this easy-to-follow chart.
From Bible Study Tools
Church, there are many Bible reading plans available at our finger tips. But, if you're feeling overwhelmed in choosing a plan, or haven't looked for one yet, we've provided one here for you. Pray for God's leading and go for it. Read the Bible in the order that the events really happened. There are printed reading plans available at the church.

ENCORE - April 15 - LEADERS NEEDED
Participation in ENCORE! also provides opportunities for other life lessons. ENCORE! can help in the development of self-assurance and confidence. It can help our young people to understand the importance of proper preparation and of presenting themselves in a positive way. Those in groups can learn the importance of a collaborative creative process – that each part of a group can contribute to the overall presentation of the whole group.
Who Should Participate in Encore?
We hope that the ENCORE program will help corps growth. Prospective Junior & Senior Soldiers are both allowed and encouraged to participate. However, young people are not to be brought in just for this event. They should be attending the corps on a regular basis with the aim of becoming a Junior and Senior Soldier.
We are looking for leaders who to teach the youth the provided materials for a variety of categories: solo and group categories for dance, voice, brass, piano, guitar, drums, and etc.
