Greeting Ridgeline Families!
Nice to see Ridgeline really starting to come back to life this week. A quiet, empty high school all summer just didnβt feel right. In that quiet time I would think back to the last day of school and parading into the stadium and everyone celebrating in that final moment of the year togetherβand I missed the energy our kids bring!
So, it was great to see our football players and the Ridgeline Regiment rolling back in the house! With all the heat weβve limited time outdoors and practiced inside. Iβd rather practice inside, on occasion, due to the heat than due to the thick smoke weβve endured for many summers recently (keeping fingers crossed). We also hosted two days of district-wide trainings for teachers and it was a nice opportunity to get to showcase our beautiful school and be reminded of how fortunate we are and that our community supports having a quality environment for our kids to learn and grow.
We completed our first βofficialβ enrollment count and hereβs how our classes are lining up: 9th = 415, 10th = 396, 11th = 329, 12th = 242, Total: 1382.
Remember, weβre already competing in the GSL 3A division, and if our incoming classes continue to be over 400 we might be classified as 4A in the next cycle- yikes! The Valley is certainly a place people want to be!

Does your child participate in after school athletics, marching band, or color guard at Ridgeline High School?
Is your child experiencing an injury as a result of participation? Ridgeline High School's athletic trainer is more than willing to evaluate their injury, work on a rehab plan, and coordinate with parents/guardians for further medical follow-up when warranted.
Athletic trainers (ATs) in Washington are licensed by the WA Dept. of Health (DOH) to render services or treatment, under the direction of a physician, in accordance with their education, training and the states statutes, rules and regulations. As part of the health care team , services provided by ATs include primary care, injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Scott Wardian LAT, ATC, is the athletic trainer for Ridgeline High School working with student athletes across all sports and activities, as well as RHS staff. Scott is employed by Providence St. Luke's Medical Center to be the full-time AT for RHS. His supervising physician, and the physician he works most closely with, is Laura Fralich, MD, with Providence Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and while he is employed by Providence, he also works very closely with sports medicine physicians and medical providers from other organizations as well. Scott will work with athletes and parents to have them be seen by providers of their choosing should the need arise. Scott can be reached swardian@cvsd.org.
