WELCOME TO WEST

No school for students on Friday, 10/14/22. Staff will be having professional development.

PTA is having a general meeting in the Ozark West Library on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 5:00 pm. All PTA members are welcome to attend.

The end of 1st quarter will be on October 13th.

Our 1st graders will be going to the Pumpkin Patch on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. They will leave on the bus at 9:00 and will return at 1:15 pm

PTA will be having a movie night at Ozark West on Friday, October 21, 2022 at West Elementary in front of the building. Seating starts at 6:00 pm and movie begins at sundown.

We will be having Parent Teacher Conferences between October 17-28. If you haven't signed up with your teacher yet, please contact her and schedule a time. We look forward to sharing with you all of the exciting things your child has been learning!

No school on Monday, 10/31/22

This time of year, it’s easy to raid the Halloween candy bag or head to the nearest stores discounted candy isle, only to realize that you’re down to your last few pieces before the first week of November is over.

It’s okay, we’ve all been there. If you have a sweet tooth, a healthy alternative is cooking with natural sugars like molasses, raw honey, and maple syrup. These ingredients are high in antioxidants, minerals, and nutrients while still being able to satisfy that sweet craving.

The nurse has asked for everyone to please keep an extra set of clothes in their backpacks. You never know when you might get something spilled on you, have an accident, get dirty at recess, etc. The nurse has a small amount of extra clothes, but it would be helpful if everyone would bring their own in their backpack. Thank you!

When your child is going to be absent from school, please call the Ozark West Absence Line at 417-582-5907 as soon as possible to let us know why your child is absent. Please leave your child's name, teacher name, and reason for absence. Thank you!
