Madeira Elementary
Where learning is personalized and success is ensured.
October 29, 2023
MES Families,
It's hard to believe we are at the end of October already! Looking back, October packed in a ton and we are ready to finish it with Halloween celebrations on Tuesday! Just a reminder that students will not wear costumes. Feel free to have your child sport some festive colors, tees or accessories but nothing that is going to be a distraction to the learning of your child or others around them.
It was wonderful to have so many parents connecting with their child's teachers this past month and scoping out the book sale in our new awesome media center. The teachers were so appreciative of the dinners, snacks, drinks, and sweet treats you all brought in to keep them going on conference nights! We really do have the best parents supporting us every step of the way - thank you!
Please read over the information below for updates and news.
Take care,
Chandley

Morning Car Rider Adjustments
We are trying to lessen our tardy tally in the mornings. We need to make sure students arrive in time to get to their classroom by 9am. The following adjustments are going to be made to help us all with getting going right on time at 9am!
**Car drop off will open at 8:40am.**
This will allow more students in sooner and not later.
**Car drop off will close at 8:57am.**
If you see the blue sandwich board outside and no staff are present to greet your child on the playground, you will need to bring your child in through the main entrance and check them in at the office.
Thank you for your help and understanding with this process. We have a lot to pack in to every school day and it is important to get everyone started off on their best foot every morning.
School Fees
School Fees are due at this time. School fees are 60.00 per child at MES. Late notices will be placed in your child’s report card. You can either send a check to school made out to “Madeira City Schools” or you can go onto the EZPay link https://www.spsezpay.com/Madeira/ezpay/Login.aspx to pay online.

Help us stock the MES Care Closet!
MES is opening a Care Closet to help give back to families in need within our community. We are collecting school supplies, backpacks, clothes, frozen food/non-perishables, and household items (such as laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, etc.).
If you would like to donate, feel free to bring these items to the MES Front Office. If you have any questions, please connect with our School Counselors, Christin Bohrofen and Emory Bergdoll.
