Spotlight on Parent Crew!

PPCS staff members are spotlighting our Parent Crew for the EL Design Principle of the Having of Wonderful Ideas! Parent Crew brought in four different soups, loaves of bread, and yummy desserts for all staff to enjoy on Thursday of last week. They also provided coffee and goodies to prospective parents at Friday's lottery tour and sponsored a PPCS Family Game Night. All that took place in one week! Thank you Parent Crew for all you do!!

For first year families . . .

If you are new to PPCS this year, you may not be aware that each year in February you'll be asked to complete an Intent to Return form. If you have not yet completed this form, please do so as soon as possible. Contact the office with questions.

Spring Break is Coming!

There is no school March 13-17. Happy Spring!

Important School Funding Update

Students who qualify for free/reduced lunch determine whether or how much state and federal money the school receives for different programs and needs including:

* literacy program funding

* salary support towards paraprofessionals

* helping at-risk students meet learning standards and achieve proficiency on state assessments
* supporting effective instruction and funding professional development
* providing special education support
* receiving reimbursement for schoolwide internet access

If you think your family may qualify for free/reduced lunch (even if your student may not eat school lunches) and you have not applied for this year, please fill out the online form. You can access this with a computer, tablet or a phone. If you do not have computer or phone access to the website application, you can come to the school office and fill it out.
