PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
St. Patrick's Day Parade
SGB will be marching in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Pearl River on Sunday, March 17.
We are encouraging ALL our students to show SGB school spirit and march with us for this special occasion. If 50% of our families commit to marching, SGB will be closed on MONDAY, MARCH 18!
We will also reveal our new SGB Wildcat Mascot at the parade and it would mean so much for all our students to be part of the happy milestone!
Click below to RSVP by Wednesday, February 21.
Dear SGB Parents,
Dear SGB Family,
We are excited to come together to show our SCHOOL SPIRIT and march in the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Pearl River, NY on Sunday, March 17.
SGB INCENTIVE:
If we have more than 50% of our students commit to marching in the parade, we will have NO SCHOOL on Monday, March 18.
While many see this parade as solely an Irish celebration, it is also an opportunity for our Catholic School to honor the patron saint of the Archdiocese of New York, Saint Patrick. This year will be an amazing experience!
Please CLICK BELOW and RSVP by WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21.
Thank you!
- Our new school MASCOT will be making its debut at the parade, escorted by our 8th grade class.
- One student representative will be chosen to wear a costume and represent Saint Patrick.
- Student representatives will be selected to carry the SGB Banner, hold the American and Catholic flags, and blow the whistle for our school.
- All SGB students will march in their full winter uniform wearing either their school RED sweater or their gym uniform RED sweatshirt over a white button down shirt.
- SGB Cheerleaders are asked to march in their school uniform and will also hold red/white pom poms.
NOTE: All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the parade.
1. Please complete this form if you would like to march with St. Gregory Barbarigo School in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Pearl River on Sunday, March 17.2. SGB will provide buses to take families from school to the parade and then return.
3. Students will need to participate in 'marching practice' which will take place the weeks prior to the event during an afternoon at school.
4. All students participating will need to have a permission slip for the event signed. Permission slips will be sent home to students based on your RSVP (below).
Details for the event (ie: departure time from school, permission slips, etc.) will be sent in the upcoming weeks.
Please consider marching with us as we would like our entire SGB FAMILY in attendance if possible.
Please complete this form as soon as possible so we can prepare for the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Pearl River, New York.
