E-Bike Safety

Dear TVUSD Parents,

We would like to bring to your attention a matter of utmost importance regarding the

recent uptick in e-bike accidents among our students. Ensuring the safety of our students

is our top priority, and we believe that awareness and understanding of the laws

pertaining to e-bikes can play a crucial role in safeguarding their well-being.

Attached to this email, you will find a comprehensive guide that explains the differences

in e-bikes and the specific laws that apply to each type. We strongly encourage you to

review this document with your child to ensure they have a clear understanding of the

rules and regulations related to e-bikes.

In addition to providing this educational resource, we would like to inform you that our

School Resource Deputies from the Riverside Sheriff's Department will be actively

enforcing the vehicle code in the coming weeks. This enforcement aims to promote safer

e-bike usage and ensure that all students are in compliance with the relevant laws.

It is essential for both parents and students to be aware of the potential risks associated

with e-bikes and to take responsibility for adhering to the law. Understanding the rules
