Hello McPherson Families,
This week is Parent-Teacher conference week for elementary. All elementary grades will have a minimum days every day this week. Middle school is on a regular schedule all week.
Our 8th grade students enjoyed a fun time in Catalina this past weekend. We are excited to welcome them back and hear about their adventures.
Thank you to all who participated in our PTSA fundraiser. We will be updating you with totals and passing out prizes shortly.

Notes from the Assistant Principal
Hello McPherson Families!
I have a few reminders for parents and students. Our uniform policy indicates that no hats, sunglasses, or visors be worn at school. However, students can wear them for sun protection at recess and lunch only. Students should not bring electronic items or toys of any kind to school. If students would like to bring a ball from home, they should seek administration approval before they bring the ball to school. Students should NOT be chewing gum at school. We are finding it all over our school and it makes a mess of our campus. Please make sure to keep your gum at home. Thank you for your support and cooperation so that we can keep our campus safe for all students.

Picture Retake Day - Tuesday, October 10
Picture retake day is Tuesday, October 10. Only those students having their picture taken can wear free dress. If your student is having their picture retaken, they MUST BRING THE FOLDER THEY RECEIVED FROM THE PREVIOUS PICTURE DAY. ALSO, ANY STUDENT THAT HAS NOT HAD THEIR PICTURE TAKEN WILL DO SO ON OCTOBER 10.

MINIMUM DAY FOR ELEMENTARY - ENTIRE WEEK - 10/2 THROUGH 10/6
ELEMENTARY PARENTS PLEASE REMEMBER TO PICK UP YOUR ELEMENTARY STUDENT AT THE CORRECT TIME ALL NEXT WEEK. IT IS MINIMUM DAY DUE TO PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES FOR KINDER THROUGH 5TH GRADE. MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE ON THEIR REGULAR SCHEDULE.
PTSA Reflections Program 23-24 "I am Hopeful Because..."
Is your student interested in art, music, dance, writing, producing film or taking photos? Encourage your child to showcase their talents by participating in the national PTA reflections program. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.This year's theme is "I am Hopeful Because..." There are opportunities for awards and fun prizes just for participating!

McPherson Education Foundation Ice Cream Social
Come Meet the Foundation Board at an Ice Cream Social!
Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 6 PM
Have you ever wondered what the McPherson Education Foundation is, who's involved on its board, what they do, and why they fundraise to support the school?
The McPherson Education Foundation Board is hosting an ice cream social (while supplies last). On Tuesday, October 10th, for anyone and everyone interested in learning more. There will be two 15-minute sessions you can choose to attend at 6:10 or 6:30 in the school library. Ice Cream social on the patio between the 400 and 300 buildings. Come Meet the Foundation Board at an Ice Cream Social in the School Library! Hope to see you there!
Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Wear PINK on 10/11 & DONATE $
Breast Cancer Awareness Day at McPherson Wear Pink CLOTHING on Wednesday, October 11. We want to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are asking for a small donation ($2 suggested). Your donation will go to help those battling cancer battling breast cancer. Please place your donation in a small envelope marked “Breast Cancer Donation”. Envelopes are also located on the front counter. Leadership will be coming to each class to pick up donations on Wednesday, October 11, or you may drop your donation off at the front office. (No other colors of clothing-this is not a free dress day-PINK ONLY).
