Halloween π»ππΉ
Keep Costume Guidelines in Mind
Halloween is Tuesday, Oct. 31, and as a district, students and staff are permitted to wear costumes to school but please keep in mind that there is a dress code policy for the district. No masks are permitted (unless itβs a face covering for COVID-19) and no weapons of any kind or sharp objects are allowed, even if they are part of the costume.
There is no Halloween parade and while Halloween is fun, school is a place of learning so it is the responsibility of the family to ensure that costumes worn at school will not distract your child or those in the classroom. In addition, students who have physical education on Oct. 31 should be prepared to participate.
Elementary School Refresher π
Student Pick-Up Procedure
Elementary parents and guardians:
Please refer to the included diagram to understand the student pick-up policy at the Elementary School that was put in place last December. Familiarize yourself with it and follow the guidelines to ensure the safety of all during what can be a busy time of day in tight quarters with moving cars and pedestrians (many of whom are shorter than the moving cars).
The policy
1. Enter the elementary parking lot and turn right into the second aisle.
2. Park in designated spots; all parked cars will face Waterford Road
3. Once car is stopped, exit and proceed to school for pick-up.
4. Once back to your car, pull straight through the parking spot and turn left to exit the lot. This will reduce safety risks by eliminating the need to back out of parking spots.
Thank you!
Early Dismissal on Friday π
